Mika Hakkinen was a two time world champion with an early exposure to motorsport at the age of five. He developed his innate feel for the limit of grip through his experience in karting, F3 and F1. After refining his driving style, he won the world championship twice with McLaren. He had a unique style that allowed him to be on the limit of grip without overdriving the car like Schumacher. Often he wore the tyres out less than his teammate.
