Felipe Massa was known for being an aggressive driver, who preferred a more physical sensation in the car. His quick pace came with experience through 15 years of racing in F1. He was accustomed to aggression with the heavily physical cars in the 2000s. He told motorsport.com that "When you're just driving the car, it is quite a nice feeling for the driver in terms of the G-force and the physicality.”. Massa also stated that to drive on the limit of grip, you need to “drive like a driver” in a more “aggressive direction”. This infers that Massa is a more rough and aggressive driver who likes to dance the car around.
